Facts:
Family:
Thomisidae
Scientific name:
Misumena vatia
Common name:
Goldenrod Crab spider

This common Crab spider doesn’t make a net to capture its prey. It has a unique ability to change its colour, like a chameleon. It hides and waits in flowers for its prey to come close enough to ambush it. The Goldenrod Crab spiders can change its colour between white, yellow and light green. Also notice the big difference in general appearence in the male and the female.
