Facts: Family: Pisauridae Scientific name: Pisaura mirabilis Common name: Nursery Web spider The Nursery Web spider gets it name from the way it nurses its eggs and spiderlings. The female spider carries the eggs in a silk cocoon and guards the spiderlings for some time after they have hatched.
